Towel Weft Yarns

Here are the weft yarns for the next batch of towels. Now that the yarn is fully dry and coned, it's a little easier to see the colors:



I'm still timesharing, mending floats on the pink towels, and winding warp sections for the next towels, plying fringes on a few scarves that have languished in the "to be finished" pile for quite a while, and winding skeins of silk for a 3-color interleaved warp for a run of Water Series scarves.

I'm always amazed at how firmly woven cones reveal colors far better than the same yarn in skeins. The same thing happens in spinning dyed fibers--the spun yarn is always quite different from the fiber in color intensity.
