This is the second runner on the warp.
The treadling is advancing points, which make lozenges of changing sizes.
As the first runner finds its way onto the cloth beam at the back of the loom, I'm treated to the "back" side of the cloth. I'll wait until the cloth is cut off the loom to decide which is the "right" side.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful runners. Difficult terms, right side & wrong side. Same thing with face & reverse, or front & back. Always suggests a hierarchy. We ought to come up with something better. How about side one and side two? Nah. Same problem. Stumped.
