Handwoven, Woven

This one was fun to weave:

One of the hooks in the letter 'v' is getting tangled with its neighbor and rises more often than it should. Oh well, needle-weaving error correction is easy with 10/2 cotton!

This panel will make a good banner for my studio wall.

Happy New Year, and may 2010 be full of fiber fun!

Beautiful and innovative; I love the direction you're taking with your weaving. Congratulations and 'Happy New Year', also.

Sandra, on my WDL I found that the bottom of my texsolve heddle was catching on the bottom shaft stick of the neighboring shaft in front or in back of it. This really puzzled me for awhile with skipping threads. They seem to migrate to the outside of the loom frame if they don't have anything in them. Could that be happening on this loom? I can't remember if the heddles are on shafts on this loom or hang freely?

Hi, Deb,
The heddles are the inserted-eye metal kind, and each one hangs independently. At the top, the heddle is connected to a hook mechanism, and it's the upper hook that twists and gets tangled with its neighbor(s). We're still working on figuring out why.
