Same old blue warp of 20/2 rayon, and the weft for this final scarf is a bright orange. From the left side, this is what it looks like:
If I step to the right side of the loom, what catches my eye are not the orange weft floats, but the blue warp floats. Iridescence in cloth is all about the magic of light and what it can make the brain believe it sees.

While I do like iridescence, I'm always too chicken to pair orange and blue to achieve it. Can't wait to see this one when it's finished.
I can't wait, either. Might be glorious, might not. But the bronzy gold didn't look great on the loom, but became a favorite after finishing. I always figure that if I'm not willing to push beyond my comfort zone, or to make the occasional error of judgement, I'm not learning anything.
oh yes! orange and blue in all values make a great combination.
