A little fine-tuning of tension, and a quick repair of two threads crossed in the reed, and weaving began.
The weft is light green, a little darker than the two outer solid-color stripes. The design doesn't show up much in this view, so here's a close-up:
This shot is centered on the middle solid-color stripe, a light grey.
It's been a while since I wove anything in yarn this thick (8/2 unmercerized cotton) and I had forgotton how quickly it goes. And how little yarn can fit on one pirn!
