Well, it's the second day of the class, and all of us students are brain-fried and exhausted. I couldn't manage to gather enough energy to post anything last night.
On the first morning, Bob Kruger, AVL's owner, welcomed us to Chico, and introduced us to the new Jac3G loom.
After some lecture time, Alice turned us loose to prepare some files that will be woven in shaded twills and satins.
Deb McClintock was first to get her file ready to weave. Her original image was the photo below, taken at a temple in Southeast Asia.
Deb started weaving,
and in short order had woven enough to see the design clearly.
