Yesterday afternoon, I skeined and dyed 30/2 cotton to match the warp color. I'll use it for the hems on this run of towels. I think the hems will blend in better if the weft matches the warp.
The skein is still drying, so I can't tell yet how close the colors are - cotton always dries so many shades lighter then when wet. The hue is approximately right, but may end up too saturated. The warp is not as vivid as the photo indicates - more of a dull blue-violet.
If the color is way off, I'm back to the dye pot.
