Another Future Project

Benita, one of my readers, posted this picture on her blog:

When I saw it, I immediately thought it had great possibilities as a weaving. Benita kindly sent me a high-res copy of the photo to work with. It has great composition, and just a faint hint of color. I experimented in P'shop to see if I could bring out some more color, and came up with two designs:

The first is more faithful to the level of detail in the photo, while the second has a more watercolorish feel to it.

One or the other (or maybe both!) will be woven on this next warp.

I am so excited about this! This is my picture about to become a tapestry! Needless to say, I will be reporting every minute of this creation on my blog.

I followed the link from Benita's too, though I've visited and commented on your blog in the past.

I love your renditions of her photo and have to admit, I'm partial to the 2nd.
