"Gracie" Weather

It's her favorite time of year. The patio gets the morning sun, and the concrete soaks up heat, making Gracie's idea of perfect temperature for lazing around in the shade on a previously-sun-warmed surface.

For a while today, DH joined her on the patio. By the time the temperature reached 101(F) however, he decided it was time for indoor napping.

I spent the afternoon mending, laundering, and pressing the table runners. Tomorrow, the hems. These will be machine hemmed, since I expect them to be machine washed and dried, and hand-stitched hems might not stand up to that treatment. I've got some matching sewing thread, which should be virtually invisible.  Pictures should be forthcoming then.
