I've been dreading a visit to the orthopedic surgeon, thinking that one or two hip replacements might be in my future. After Xrays and an MRI, though, he told me that it's only bursitis, not osteoarthritis. So he sent me on my way with one humongous injection of cortisone in my left hip. saying that the relief is usually long-term, not just a few days or weeks. I go back in a month for followup, and if the left hip is still feeling better, I'll ask for the same treatment on the right hip.
The problem with hip pain is that walking is very difficult - I would go less than 1/4 mile before having to stop and let the pain subside. Which means not enough exercise happening for my heart, weight, etc. Now with a prospect of getting more exercise and fresh air, I'm a much happier person than I was a few days ago.
On the dobby loom, I finished off table runner #2, and took a photo of it as it winds onto the cloth storage beam:
Plus, I wove the first 500 picks of runner #3:
This one has a green (with a bit of blue in it) weft that's a little lighter in value than the blue in the warp, and a treadling of small networked points.

So glad to hear you don't need surgery. :)
Cheers

that weaving is gorgeous, as ever
Wow, what a result! I hope you start feeling the benefit of the cortisone soon.
