The New Green

Yesterday, I wound off two large skeins of the light green cotton shown in my last post, and gave it a bath. A total of 2600 yards had an olive green overdye.

 After rinsing and drying, the color should be sufficiently darker and duller than the original hue. Why so much yardage? It's to be a set of 4 table mats, not just a single wall piece. If I like how they turn out, I'll weave another set in different colors.
