Scarf #1

By golly, it wasn't [quite] correct, so I only got a little weaving done. First, I had to fix some sleying errors - threads in the wrong dent so they prevented neighbors from lifting properly.

I quit at the 200-pick mark. It's been a while since I worked on the dobby loom, and I found that it takes some time to get my rhythm back after even a short hiatus. I guess my muscle memory is getting as faulty as my brain-cell memory!

If you click the photo to display the full-size version, you'll see some places where the beat is uneven. I'll have to work on that.

I had worried that the warp colors were too similar to show effectively in the woven cloth, and am relieved to see that both warp colors are clearly visible where they dominate the face of the cloth, as is the dark red-brown weft.
