A Change of Pace

I owe a woven portrait to a family friend. The original photo is of her late husband reading the Sunday newspaper in the back garden with [an also late] dog. Here's the photo:

I need to complete the weaving this weekend, so it can be finished and mounted on a canvas stretcher in time for a holiday get-together on December 21.
