Hibiscus

This is for Pat, who asked about the flower image in my last post. Here are 2 photos of the more familiar single hibiscus flower form. All of these are in my father-in-law's garden. The climate here in the Los Angeles area is both warmer in winter and cooler in summer than ours, just a few hours by car north, and many tropical species thrive.

My goodness, aren't uk hibiscus flowers dull and boring compared to these stunners. Thank you, Sandra. I think I probably need a heated conservatory for those plants. We're having heating put in the greenhouse this week but only to keep the temperature above +5 degrees.
