Are you using black weft, in a much finer grist than the warp, throughout? That's the best I can figure by looking at your photos.

Peg, the first scarf has a navy blue weft in a 20/1 tencel. The second is black 40/2 silk. The last piece on the warp will be a deep purple 20/2 tencel. I generally prefer to use a finer weft than warp, but I had the purple weft in the stash so I'm gonna use it. Sandra

Peg, I forgot to mention that the warp sett is closer than usual (48 epi) for 20/2 tencel. I sett it at 48, so that the cloth is warp-dominant, and the weft (of whatever size) can't beat to square.

Oops. The normal sett would be 40 epi; I sett it at 48 epi.
