Dear Mike,
So sorry to hear that Sandra has passed away but glad that she was home with you and that it happened in her sleep. She will truly be missed but her inspiration and guidance for so many of us will certainly live on. She will also live on in all the amazingly beautiful and creative textiles that she lovingly created for all these years. She is now free from her ailing earthly body and I can see her happily flying around the universe unhindered. She will be keeping an eye on you and the family and sending love your way. Take all the time that you need to grieve while holding onto those sweet memories. Our hearts go out to you and the whole family.

P.S. "The Sky Loom" a Tewa Prayer for well being - popped into my head so I will share it here.

Oh our Mother the Earth, Oh our Father the Sky,
Your children are we, and with tired backs
We bring you the gifts that you love.
Then weave for us a garment of brightness;

May the warp be the white light of morning,
May the weft be the red light of evening,
May the fringes be the falling rain,
May the border be the standing rainbow.

Thus weave for us a garment of brightness
That we may walk fittingly where birds sing,
That we may walk fittingly where the grass is green,
Oh our Mother the Earth, Oh our Father the Sky.

Dear Mike,
We all lost a dear weaving friend, but you lost the love of your life. The words are hard to find. In time, smiles and memories will replace the tears.

I will treasure my Jacquard weaving Sandra wove up for me. She was so kind and generous in all our phone and email exchanges.

Today I wanted to be inspired and I remembered the first design I saw of Sandra, it was spectacular! I looked for her again on her blog and now I find out what happened, I live far away and it hurts a lot that a great artist is no longer present. I would have really liked to even meet her. It only remains for me to remember her creations. A big hug Sandra. Thanks.
