Back to the Loom

After 10 days in Ukraine, and 4 in London, I'm ready for the next steps in the tea towel project. So far, the threading is about 2/3 finished.

Ukraine is a very interesting country to visit. It's young as an independent nation, with a mix of Soviet-era leftovers and bright, new areas. I saw some of the most beautiful churches and cathedrals I've ever seen, and the Ukrainians are very proud that their Orthodox church is now separate from the Russian Orthodox church. It seems like a final gesture of independence.

Kyiv alone has 1,000 churches, and I sat for an hour in the courtyard of this one listing to an etherial choir:
