After taking a day off to play, I finished the process of sleying the reed, lashing the warp onto the apron in half-inch bouts, equalizing the tension among the bouts, and weaving in some waste yarn to spread the warp evenly. Here's the way things look after weaving about 100 picks of the design.
You can see feather shapes starting to appear, with the 3 warp colors shifting to different combinations and proportions across the width of the cloth. The weft for this scarf is black.
