Lupine Season

This spring the wild lupines are going crazy. There are more of 'em than any year I can remember. This is just part of the field of lupines behind the house:



The California poppies, not so much - I think poppies prefer the non-El Nino rainy seasons. There are a few here and there, but not many.

In between the rains, though, the skies clear, and lots of flowers are posing for the camera. In this case, tulips snapped by my friend Fran. They're destined to become a weaving once I finish off all the tree images I have queued up and begin the flower series.
