Benita's pines are in progress on the jacquard, about 1/3 woven:
The weave structure is weft-backed satin based on 9-end shaded satins, with 3 weft system. The 3 wefts are white, light grey-blue, and forest green. I think if I were to weave it again, the grey-blue would be a blue-grey, with a little more emphasis on the "blue." The photo doesn't capture the real colors - more green shows when you see it in person.
Here's the image it's based on, indexed to 12 hues:
Now, back to the loom...

This is so thrilling for me! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for using my photo.
So, does weaving a picture of snow make you feel cooler in this hot summer weather?
Yes, Benita, it does! Even though we're having a relatively cool summer on the west coast while you folks farther east are baking...
I'll let you know whether your three pines find a new home during the ACC show in about 10 days.
A lovely interpretation. Are we to assume that the loom is behaving now?
That is so cool, I remember that pic on Benita's blog! I'm always facinated by what your weaving.
