More New Work

These are the other two new pieces I finished for the Wine Festival:

None of them sold, but I expect to get a few Woven Portraits commissions as a result of the show. DH, on the other hand, did very well. Because the booth fee is very low ($50 for a 4-hour event) this show turns out to be the best performer in terms of profit/cost ratio of all of the events we do!

Next tasks: beam a new warp on the dobby loom for scarves, beam a new warp on the jacquard loom, complete the finishing on the other newly woven jacquard pieces, and start a marketing effort targeting the local wineries that have tasting rooms with gift shops. I'm hoping some of them might be willing to carry some of the wine-related woven pieces. Also, I've got a small stack of scarves that need fringing and wet finishing, which needs to be done before the ACC San Francisco show in August.
