Packing Up for American Craft Council San Francisco Show

I'm soooo glad I work in textiles, and not some heavier medium like clay, or some fragile medium like glass! Textiles are both lightweight and unbreakable.

My entire inventory, waiting to be carried down to the van:

The scarves are on hangers in 3 garment bags, and the wall hangings fit in 3 under-bed-size plastic bins (plus one mailing tube).

The booth itself, of course, takes up a lot more room in the van, and weighs a heck of a lot more. Pipe and drape stuff, table, sales podium, light bars, chairs, packing materials, miscellaneous bits and pieces that are indispensable, etc.

If you're in the greater Bay Area this weekend, and seek visual stimulation and entertainment, please do visit the show. This is the top juried show of fine craft in the Bay Area.

Where: Ft. Mason, at Bay and Buchanan in San Francisco
When: Friday 10-8 (admission $5 after 5pm); Saturday 10-6, and Sunday 10-5

If you think you might attend, there are still discount tickets available (but only until midnight tomorrow, Aug. 11) by going here and making sure the discount code "SF2011GUEST" is filled in. Just pay, print the resulting email, and not only do you save money, but there's no waiting in line at the door.

Hope to see you there!
