What a Week!

I apologize for not posting in such a long time. It's been one heck of a week. Last Saturday, we drove 4 hours to Los Angeles so DH's parents could help celebrate his birthday; home again on Monday. On Wednesday, I drove back to Los Angeles again for a meeting of Designing Weavers (of which I'm currently President, so it behooves me to attend!); home again on Thursday.

Tomorrow, we drive to Petaluma (located north of San Francisco, about a 4.5-hour drive from home) to celebrate a very belated Christmas with my sister, her significant other, and an old friend of my sister's; home again on Sunday. It seems that all our schedules are much too busy in December to have a timely holiday dinner, so the tradition we've developed is to celebrate whenever we can find an available evening in January or February.

That's more miles in a car in the course of 8 days than my body really likes to tolerate, but sometimes the schedule rules - and this is one of those times.

My sister will be delighted with her gifts: for a really belated birthday gift (did I actually miss August??) she gets the weaving of us with Aunt Aileen, shown here, and for Christmas, a piece created by Fern Benson of Designing Weavers.

So, again, apologies for no posts, and no pictures. I'll try to get a photo of Fern's piece when my sister opens the package - but at the moment it's already wrapped.
