Well, almost. We celebrate with friends in Morro Bay, but the poppers pop and the whistles whistle at the same time as on the East Coast (at 9:00pm Pacific Time), meaning we can be home in bed by 10:00pm.
Dinner is always Dungeness Crab, in season on the West Coast starting in mid-to-late-December. I can only hope that you all were treated to such a divine meal - fresh crab, sourdough bread, salad, and of course lots of good California wine.

I love the part about celebrating on Eastern time so that you can be home by 10. What a beautiful table! Yum.
