Two more jacquard weavings are getting ready to be backed and mounted on canvas stretchers:
The bamboo grove is a re-design of an image I wove when the loom had only 960 hooks. In the process of enlarging the original image for 1440 hooks, I applied the weaves in a slightly different ratio, so the overall image is a bit different from the first edition. And of course the yarn colors are slightly different, because I'm using 16/2 bamboo for weft instead of 20/2 cotton or Tencel.
The lily is another of my favorites. I can't wait to see it mounted and framed! Stay tuned...

The bamboo grove just glows - bet it looks spectacular in life. Photos never do textiles justice....
cheers,

I love the concept of weaving your bamboo grove with bamboo yarn. Subtle, but charming!
