Ah! Peace an Quiet, a Loon, and a Spinning Wheel

The lake is as soothing as always, and quiet - because the boys (aka DH and my brother) are off doing projects, leaving me with a view and a visitor.

Sorry the loon isn't quite in focus, but he wasn't terribly close, and when I approached the dock with camera in hand, he moved silently away.

I've been spinning some tussah silk that I bought many years ago and have been "ageing" in the fiber stash. It's space dyed in appropriately soothing shades of green, teal, and cobalt blue.
