In the 24-hour period ending Wednesday morning at 6:00, we got almost 7 inches of rain. That's over half of the average annual total, all in one day. Plus a 15-hour power outage because a huge oak tree about a half mile away tipped over, breaking both power and phone cables. No damage or drainage problems at our house, thank heavens.
When we left home at 9:00 AM to deliver the finished wood pieces back to AVL, it was still drizzling lightly.
That was one heck of a storm!
