It's back to the 24-shaft loom for a while. I need to weave off the rest of the scarves and finish them before our next show, June 11-13 in Santa Monica. Yesterday, I completed the weaving of the scarf with a copper weft, and began (and nearly completed - it was a 2000-pick day!) one with a bright fuchsia weft.
This one has an amazing look. From either side, it looks purple against a silvery ground:
From the front, looking along the length of the cloth, the fuchsia weft shows a lot more, and the cloth looks red:
It'll be interesting to see how this looks once it's fringed and wet-finished. The effect of the changing colors with the angle of viewing should be fascinating when it's worn.
