In Today's News...

I've begun a new blog, located here, as a vehicle for offering my handwoven works for sale. Please take a look, and if you see something you like, let me know!

I'll be posting items there fairly frequently - at least once a week, and more often if the looms are being particularly prolific at the moment. Who knows, you might even see some bowls and other goodies created on DH's lathe show up on the sales blog.

In the meantime, I've been plugging away at the towels. Here's the first repeat or so of towel #13:



As I started this one, I noticed an interesting phenomenon. As the cloth winds around the sandpaper beam and reaches a point where the light is at a very oblique angle, you can see more detail in the previous piece. Here's another peek at towel #12, which has all the possible variations of 5-end satin:



At this angle, you can really see all the hue/value variations created by the structure and the differences between warp and weft.
