Chickens

Back in early 2010, I posted pictures of a chicken woven as a belated Christmas gift for a family friend who collects chickens. Well, the holiday get-together for Christmas 2010 has become more than a little behind schedule, but will occur this weekend at my sister's home. And here's the new chicken for that family friend:



This is probably the same bird, drawn in charcoal (not pen and ink) this time, by a Dutch artist who raised a small flock from small chicks a few years ago. Unfortunately, the chicks didn't survive their early life, but the drawings did. Which is a good thing, as this bird has a lot of personality!
