I can't draw, so creating designs for the jacquard so far has been based on images - photos I've taken, or friends and family have taken, or photos I've trawled the 'net looking for.
Now, I'm seeing a way to use those images in an entirely new way, as the basis for completely abstract designs - but with no drawing board or paint brushes required!
Today's doodle started with another NatGeo image, this one of dunes in Algeria:
And the doodle, indexed to 8 hues (some shades of gold, some shades of rusty bronze, plus black):
Digital Dunes. A two-shuttle weave! I'm looking forward to it.
