Tried out the new draft for the brown scarf warp today. The two structures play nice together - the fell line is straight, with no indications that one stripe is beating in differently from the other.
I put a piece of white cloth under the fell area so you can actually see the line. I'm also weaving with that cloth in place, so *I* can actually see the weft yarn flowing into the shed; otherwise, it's almost invisible, not unexpected for 140/2 silk!
Here's another shot (without the white cloth) in which the structures show up better:
The satin stripes (2/3 satin) are much smoother to the touch than the granite stripes, which have a bumply feel. Which is exactly what I wanted, so I'm a happy camper.
